Grads urged to act with honor and grace
Members of the class of 2026 toss their mortarboards.

Though the weather forecast had threatened showers, the rain held off for Hastings High School’s 118th commencement at Reynolds Field on Thursday, June 18.

The ceremony started with the 112 seniors marching onto the field in green robes as the high school orchestra played “Pomp and Circumstance.” Once the students were seated, the high school chorus sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” and then seniors Michael Leydon and Emmy Taylor led the Pledge of Allegiance.
