Greasers and Pink Ladies populate Hastings stage

The Hastings High School auditorium will be transformed into Rydell High this weekend with a production of the 1971 musical “Grease.” 

Set in 1959, the story follows “greaser” Danny Zuko and new girl Sandy as the two navigate love, peer pressure, and social cliques, in this case the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies.

Director Laurie Walton chose “Grease” for the spring musical for its lightheartedness and familiarity, and tech director Gillian Husovsky added that it’s been one of students’ most requested musicals.
