Volunteer of the Month: Taylor uses time and talent to bring neighbors together

The Rivertowns Repair Café network that started in Hastings in 2019 has grown to include Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Tarrytown, and Sleepy Hollow, with Ardsley set to host an event in 2027.

Throughout that growth, Lindsey Jeanne Taylor of Hastings has volunteered as an organizer at repair cafés in all of the Rivertowns. Taylor and fellow Hastings residents Ariella Gastel and Morey Bean launched the first café in Hastings. Taylor and Gastel then worked on subsequent repair cafés. Taylor also volunteers with the Hastings Historical Society and at the Take It or Leave It (TILI) garage in Hastings.
