During the first half of the first month of 2026, events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence ranged from a re-enactor portraying Peggy Shippen Arnold in Greenburgh to a reading of excerpts from Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” in New Rochelle.
