9/11@25: Services stir up memories of loss and survival
REGION — Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, and Irvington hosted services last Friday, Sept. 11, in honor of the 25th anniversary of
Aquefest, the annual celebration of the Old Croton Aqueduct, returns this Saturday for its third iteration as a single-venue event in Dobbs Ferry. Before a 12-year hiatus that ended in 2024, Aquefest took place throughout different parts of the state-owned trailway in Westchester.
The free festivities, organized by the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct (FOCA), will take place Sept. 19, from 11 a.m.–4 p.m., at the Keeper’s House on Walnut Street, and feature performances, a community art project, and more.
