Concert offers tidings that span centuries

When a handful of women first gathered to sing in a Hastings-on-Hudson living room nearly three decades ago, they were struck by the clarity of the sound.

“There was something truly angelic about it,” recalled Marie Caruso, a founding member of the Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir and its artistic director since 2005. “When Susan Ball, our original leader, suggested the name ‘Angelica,’ we all felt immediately that it fit. It captured both the purity of the sound and the spirit behind it.”
