Community Conversations on Rivertowns Issues That Matter

A Dispatch Discussion: Housing Affordability

April 28th, 2026 7:00pm-8:30pm

Join The Rivertowns Dispatch for a live event at HudCo. This Dispatch Discussion will cover housing affordability, one of the biggest challenges facing our community with nearly half of people in Westchester County paying more than a third of their income towards housing costs. Moderated by Rivertowns Dispatch Podcast host Timothy Reuter, this panel discussion will feature perspectives from three Rivertown housing affordability committees as well as advocates on what does affordability mean in our communities and what levers do we have to make life here more affordable for those who work here, those who want to age in place, and those who want to move here. We will also discuss how housing affordability may be influencing politics locally, nationally, and internationally.

Join us for an evening of insight and debate on an issue affecting communities across the state. Confirmed panelists:

  • Tracy Baron, Co-Chair of the Dobbs Ferry Affordable Housing Task Force
  • Michael Hanna, Co-Chair of the Irvington Housing Committee
  • Chance Mullen, Executive Director of Housing Action Council and Mayor of Pelham
  • Andrew Smith, member of the Hastings-on-Hudson Affordable Housing Committee and Deputy Executive Director of Westchester Residential Opportunities

We’d also love to voice YOUR questions for this group. Share your questions and ideas here. Submit your questions by April 19 for consideration at the event.
