Longtime resident steps aside after eight years

During the Ardsley Board of Trustees meeting on July 7, Mayor Nancy Kaboolian described Peter Marcus as the “guardian of our history and the person who gave voice to those who came before us.”

Kaboolian went on to list his accomplishments as president of the Ardsley Historical Society for the past eight years, stating that, “His dedication ensures that the lessons of the past are not forgotten but passed on with care and purpose... In simple terms, Peter has never let us down.”

Marcus, a village resident since 1976, stepped down as historical society president on June 30, but is maintaining his position as treasurer and a member of the board. Gary Rappaport, a fellow board member, has succeeded him as president.
