Decades later, as a celebrated actress, playwright, and screenwriter, Schreck transformed that unusual chapter of her life into the critically acclaimed play “What the Constitution Means to Me,” a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and nominee for two Tony Awards.
