Volunteer of the Month: Chen uses art to help children feel at home

Conju “Maggie” Chen is a regular volunteer at Abbott House, an organization in Irvington dedicated to building lasting foundations for children, families, and adults with complex needs. On Oct. 28, she was honored with the organization’s Dignity of Family Life Award, which celebrates individuals or families who exemplify the values and commitment necessary to preserve the dignity of family life, especially in the face of adversity.
