Dobbs Ferry resident Tim Deery tries to live by a simple motto he adopted from his dad: Do the right thing. For Deery, that means inviting people to share their funny stories through comedy open mics, which everyone is invited to attend and participate in. Deery goes out of his way to ensure that his events have diverse lineups and that he’s a welcoming presence. Deery regularly hosts at the Dobbs Ferry Public Library, as well as at Waterfront Park in Dobbs and Divino Cucina Italiana restaurant in Hastings.
This Saturday, Oct. 4, for Ferry Festa, he will showcase Dobbs-only comedians at the library. The lineup includes Jonathan Maltby, Liz Fabian, Mike Noble, David G. Laino, ANML, and former “Four Questions” subject Cyndy Cecil, as well as live music from the Power of Two.
