Former F.I.S.H. volunteers take the wheel with TRA
Drivers and riders from the Friends in Service Helping (F.I.S.H.) program, which offered Hastings seniors free rides
For Sheila Narayanan and Sania Samad, their shared love of storytelling means a scheduled 45-minute meet-up can turn into a 2-hour conversation. As the two recently sat in the shade at Pascone Park, they told the Dispatch how what brought them together as friends also led to the creation of “Humans of Ardsley,” which seeks to promote community through personal narratives.
The project, which is based on shared storytelling, is also spearheaded by fellow Ardsley resident Anju Kurian, and supported by the Village’s Multicultural, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (MDIC).
