Maps provide a digital path into Irvington’s history

“Maps are a way of organizing wonder.”

That quote from naturalist and author Peter Steinhart was cited by Irvington resident Chet Kerr during his webinar for the Irvington Historical Society on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Titled “Irvington’s Historical Maps and the Stories They Tell,” Kerr’s presentation focused on 150 maps from the archives of the historical society and the Irvington Public Library that were posted online this past March.
