Study Group to host open house on Sept. 8

As an award-winning author-illustrator, longtime Hastings resident Ed Young was also renowned — among a smaller, but no less avid circle of fans — as a master tai chi teacher. Now, two years after his passing at age 91, several of his former students are on a mission to reintroduce his practice to the Hastings community. As part of that effort, Young’s Hastings Tai Chi Study Group will hold an open house on Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. at the James Harmon Community Center.
