Grads get messages of love and connection
The sun and the wind, as well as family and friends, turned out for the Irvington High School graduation at
"Graduations at the waterfront are always unique," Dobbs Ferry High School Principal John Falino said as he opened commencement ceremonies on Saturday, June 20. Wind churned whitecaps on the Hudson River and sent dresses, hair, and gowns whipping in every direction. Amid the gusts, it seemed miraculous that the 110 graduates’ caps remained in place.
Falino noted that the class of 2026 was the district's 125th graduating class. He acknowledged the board of education, teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff before introducing board of education president Brooke Bass.
